Aggiornamento del firmware con Qubes OS

Questa guida descrive come aggiornare il firmware di Nitrokey 3 con nitropy in Qubes OS.

Importante

Please read the general firmware update instructions before! Since for specifc versions there are limitations regarding what data is possible to migrate to the new version.

Installare nitropy in una macchina virtuale di vostra scelta seguendo le istruzioni di installazione di ``_.

Come aggiornare

Importante

Non scollegare mai Nitrokey 3 o interrompere il processo durante l’aggiornamento, per non rendere inutilizzabile il dispositivo!

  1. Eseguire nitropy nk3 reboot --bootloader nella macchina virtuale dell’applicazione.

  2. Una volta ricevuto l’ordine da nitropy toccare il dispositivo per attivare il bootloader.

  3. This will detach the Nitrokey from the app VM, and the bootloader will apear in sys-usb.

  4. Attach the bootloader to the app VM.

  5. Run nitropy nk3 update and follow the instructions.

  6. During the finalization the Nitrokey will be detached. Re-attach the Nitrokey back to th app VM to finish the update.

In caso di errori si prega di prendere i log dalla /tmp directory (/tmp/nitropy.log.*).
