Actualización del firmware con Qubes OS

Esta guía describe cómo actualizar el firmware de Nitrokey 3 con nitropy en Qubes OS.

Importante

Please read the general firmware update instructions before! Since for specifc versions there are limitations regarding what data is possible to migrate to the new version.

Configurar

Instala nitropy en una máquina virtual de tu elección siguiendo las instrucciones de instalación de ``_.

Cómo actualizar

Importante

No desconecte nunca el Nitrokey 3 ni aborte el proceso durante la actualización, ya que es probable que su dispositivo quede inutilizable.

  1. Ejecute nitropy nk3 reboot --bootloader en app VM.

  2. Una vez que lo indique nitropy toque el dispositivo para activar el cargador de arranque.

  3. This will detach the Nitrokey from the app VM, and the bootloader will apear in sys-usb.

  4. Attach the bootloader to the app VM.

  5. Run nitropy nk3 update and follow the instructions.

  6. During the finalization the Nitrokey will be detached. Re-attach the Nitrokey back to th app VM to finish the update.

En caso de cualquier error, por favor tome los registros del directorio /tmp (/tmp/nitropy.log.*).
