Firmware-Update mit Qubes OS

Diese Anleitung beschreibt, wie man die Firmware des Nitrokey 3 mit nitropy in Qubes OS aktualisiert.

Wichtig

Please read the general firmware update instructions before! Since for specifc versions there are limitations regarding what data is possible to migrate to the new version.

Einrichtung

Installieren Sie nitropy in einer App-VM Ihrer Wahl und folgen Sie dabei den Installationsanweisungen.

Wie aktualisieren

Wichtig

Trennen Sie niemals die Verbindung zum Nitrokey 3 oder brechen Sie den Vorgang während der Aktualisierung ab, da dies Ihr Gerät wahrscheinlich unbrauchbar machen wird!

  1. Führen Sie nitropy nk3 reboot --bootloader in app VM aus.

  2. Nach der Anweisung von nitropy berühren Sie das Gerät, um den Bootloader zu aktivieren.

  3. This will detach the Nitrokey from the app VM, and the bootloader will apear in sys-usb.

  4. Attach the bootloader to the app VM.

  5. Run nitropy nk3 update and follow the instructions.

  6. During the finalization the Nitrokey will be detached. Re-attach the Nitrokey back to th app VM to finish the update.

Im Falle von Fehlern entnehmen Sie bitte die Protokolle dem Verzeichnis /tmp (/tmp/nitropy.log.*).
