OPNSense gebruikt Suricata om een IPS/IDS Service aan te bieden. Suricata is al geïnstalleerd en draait al na de eerste configuratie.
U vindt de instellingen voor beheer, bewaking en logboekregistratie via “Services -> Intrusion Detection”.
