- Q: What to do if my NextBox doesn’t start?
If your NextBox doesn’t start correctly or you have some other problem using it, chances are a soft reset can fix it: Reinicio suave. If this doesn’t help, please make sure you have connected the NextBox correctly as described in Quickstart: Cómo empezar. Otherwise you can try a factory reset: Restablecimiento de fábrica as long as your NextBox doesn’t contain any data you care about losing. If everything fails, please contact our customer support. Do note that our ability to help you might be limited if you changed your system configuration using for example ssh.
- Q: How can I factory-reset my NextBox?
Press the hardware button for 5 seconds, see Restablecimiento de fábrica. This will delete all your files!
- Q: What do the different LED colors mean?

- Q: Can the inital setup be done using a monitor & keyboard?
No, esto no es posible ya que el inicio de sesión regular está deshabilitado en la entrega. Por favor, conecte el NextBox a una red y acceda al NextBox usando nextbox.local o la IP directamente.
- Q: What is the typical power consumption?

- Q: How secure is the NextBox?
Debian with frequent unattended-upgrades based security updates, a minimal attack surface by ensuring that not a single unnecessary port is open are the main contributors to system security. Make sure your Nextcloud users and passwords are on a high level, either with long-random passwords or a 2-Factor-Authentification supported login method with e.g., a Nitrokey FIDO2.
- Q: What do all the ssh-related «warnings» mean?
Una vez que configures tu acceso ssh, te haces técnicamente responsable de tu NextBox. Proporcionamos ayuda en la medida de lo posible como buena voluntad, pero bajo la línea no podemos proporcionar soporte genérico de administración de Linux fuera de los casos de uso previstos de NextBox.
- Q: Can I mirror my NextBox onto another NextBox?
Esto se traduce en una configuración de clúster, que Nextcloud considera una solución empresarial (de pago). Los detalles, especialmente la consistencia de los datos y la gestión de las colisiones, no son nada triviales. No obstante, también vemos la demanda de soluciones de copia de seguridad más sofisticadas y abordaremos esta cuestión.
- Q: What to do to run/install/fix Nextcloud App «XYZ»? Why does Nextcloud feature XYZ not work?
Generalmente no podemos ayudar en detalle para estos temas. Las aplicaciones y los componentes internos de Nextcloud están fuera del alcance del desarrollo de NextBox, ya que utilizamos las imágenes Docker proporcionadas por Nextcloud. En última instancia, si alguna configuración de NextBox/OS está bloqueando una aplicación para que se ejecute correctamente, seguramente buscaremos la forma de solucionarlo.
- Q: Can I connect/use the NextBox using WiFi?
No, currently this is not (easily) possible, only wired Ethernet using RJ-45 is available.
- Q: Is the WiFi on the Raspberry PI 4B physically available and working?
Yes, physically the WiFi is available and working, but not used/managed by the NextBox App. If you know what you are doing you can configure and use it, if it works even though it’s inside the NextBox casing.
- Q: How can I access my NextBox, if I get forwarded to the wrong URL?
